Tao Energetics of Self-Cultivation Connecting Channels
The Archive of Social Compromise

About this workshop
If the Muscle Meridians are the spontaneous interface with the world, the Connecting Channels are what happens when that interface is overwhelmed. Some experiences are too much to process in the moment: a shock, a conflict, a time we weren’t safe to feel what we felt. When that happens, the body doesn’t dissolve the stress. It parks it. In Classical Chinese Medicine, the Connecting Channels belong to the blood vessels, and blood has a dense, holding quality that lets the body store what it couldn’t yet integrate. This is called latency, and the Connecting Channels are referred to as the Archive of Social Compromise.
Latency is a clever survival strategy, but it has a cost. The parked stress tends to resurface as chronic tension, reactive emotions or a sense of living behind a social mask that no longer fits. This workshop teaches you to use muscle monitoring to interview your own archive, find where your history has been stored, and work towards resolving it, so the energy spent holding it in place can be returned to you.
What you'll explore
The twelve main Connecting Channels follow the story of human development: Survival (how we sense the world and make sense of it), Interaction (how we find our voice, boundaries and place in the group) and Differentiation (how we form our values and come into our own authority). Each channel holds a theme within that story. You’ll also meet three further channels that bridge this personal story to something deeper.
You’ll learn:
-
how to consolidate your muscle monitoring skills and find which Connecting Channel is holding the stress and which life theme it belongs to
-
Age Recession, a technique for finding when a pattern first took hold, so you can work with it at its source rather than only today’s echo of it, with your body indicating whether it’s needed
-
further techniques for downloading stress out of hiding, including a method for bringing stored memories into clearer perspective
-
the Trinity Correction, applied here to the Connecting Channels, to help the change settle
What you’ll leave with
A way of recognising when today’s reaction belongs to an older story, and the tools to work with it. This is a skill you practise, not a theory you memorise.
Good to know
-
This is a self-development workshop. You learn to work on yourself, not on other people.
-
This workshop builds on Workshop 1 (Muscle Meridians) and its muscle monitoring skills, so please complete it first.
-
The work is complementary to medical care and professional therapeutic support, and doesn’t replace either.
-
If you're currently receiving support for trauma or mental health, please speak with your therapist or doctor before enrolling. You can pause or step out at any time.
-
After Workshop 1, this workshop can be taken in person or live online.
